Biography

Born in Rome where he spent his first ten years, Alessandro then travelled in the Equator for another ten years.

It was during this time that he began observing and admiring the Universe.

Later, in Spain, in October of 1979, he met the movie Master Franco Zeffirelli.

In June 1981, he was presented to Her Majesty The Queen of Spain,  

in November 1982, he met Leonardo Sciascia.

he has been publicly acclaimed in many national and international publications

as are his interpretative oil paintings of astronomical panoramic views.

Alessandro Gattuso’s work has been presented in several important exhibitions over the past years in Madrid, Spain.

His paintings have been seen by the public in the following exhibitions

with huge success and high praise by the national and international presses:  

– General Italian Consulate, Madrid, November 1979; 

– Club Financiero Genova, Madrid, October 1980;

– Club Financiero Genova, Madrid, November 29.1983; 

– Collective Juana Mordò. Madrid, 1981 (Juana Mordò enjoyed a great friendship with Pablo Picasso) 

– Avila Gallery, Madrid, March 1982;

These exhibitions were under the high patronage of the italian General Consul, His Excellence the Italian Ambassador in Spain, attended by authorities, celebrities, Directors of the Italian Institute and too many others.
